All of our feeder cattle are born and raised on the farm. We take pride in all of our cows and ensure they are always happy, healthy, and live a low-stress lifestyle. The cattle stay with their mothers until 7 months of age where they are then weaned. We work closely with a cattle nutritionist to ensure the cattle receive a balanced diet as they require different rations during different stages in their life.
From the moment our cattle are born until they reach your plate, we maintain strict quality standards to ensure that you receive only the finest beef. Chappell Farms believes in the use of antibiotics for the health and well being of our herd however no antibiotics are used in our feeder cattle. If antibiotics are necessary for a feeder, they would be withdrawn from the feeder program.

Our feeder cattle are fed a total mixed ration (TMR) daily. This is a scientifically balanced blend of forages, grains, protein supplements, minerals, and vitamins. We are proud to be able to grow most of the feed our cattle eat.
We take health and environmental concerns seriously therefore we do not implant any growth hormones into our cattle.

The BQA Mission is: To guide producers towards continuous improvement using science-based production practices that assure cattle well-being, beef quality and safety.
